Grammy Awards 2019: trionfano le donne e l’hip hop

Alla 61esima edizione dei Grammy Awards, gli ‘Oscar’ internazionali della musica, hanno trionfato le donne e l’hip hop. Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Cardi B e Kacey Musgraves hanno conquistato i trofei più ambiti. La popstar italo-americana Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta è stata premiata per la miglior performance in duetto nel brano Shallow del film A Star is Born, insieme a Bradley Cooper, le altre artiste sono state premiate rispettivamente nelle categorie Miglior nuova artista, Miglior album rap con Invasion of Privacy e Miglior album country. Childish Gambino, uno degli artisti rap più interessanti degli ultimi anni insieme a Kendrick Lamar, ha vinto grazie al brano This Is America uno dei premi massimi, quello per la migliore canzone. Drake con God’s Plan è stato premiato per il miglior pezzo rap.

Acclamata e applauditissima l’ex First Lady americana Michelle Obama è salita sul palco con Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett Smith e la conduttrice Alicia Keys per esaltare la musica. La moglie dell’ex presidente degli Stati Uniti, Barack Obama, ha dichiarato che la musica l’ha sempre aiutata a diffondere il suo messaggio e le sue idee. Ha poi sottolineato che la musica aiuta quotidianamente le persone a condividere “la loro dignità, la loro tristezza, le loro speranze e le loro gioie. Ci permette di ascoltarci l’un l’altro: la musica dimostra che tutto conta. Ogni storia in ogni voce, ogni nota in ogni canzone”.
